Intense rainfalls in the past days have triggered massive landslides causing havoc in China's Fujian province.
In particular, a huge slide in Wuping County carried away several cars, killing one man who was trapped in his vehicle and causing severe damage. The ferocity of the landslide was terrifying and was caught on camera by local media. Click the video below to watch the breathtaking moment.
Local fire department rushed to the site in search of survivors. It is believed that more than 60 people in total were killed due to flooding and landsliding.
Moreover, the landslide almost struck a residential building. The impressive incident was also caught on camera.
More than 360,000 people from the affected areas were evacuated. The Chinese Ministry of Emergency Management stated that 9,300 houses have been destroyed and 3,71 million hectares of farmlands have been damaged. The financial loss is estimated to be about $2.79 billion.
