A disastrous cyclone was the reason of the evacuation of nearly a million people in India. The tropical cyclone Phailin landed on Suturday in the Odisha state at 140mph (225km) wind speed.
According to officials, the cyclone resulted in only a few deaths thanks to early evacuation efforts (before the storm). Debris, building damages due to the poor construction material such as mud or bamboo, flooded roadways, fallen trees and damaged power and communication lines are some of the consequences, according to CNN.
