It was recently announced by the British Geotechnical Association (BGA) that the 62nd Ranking Lecture will take place on the 13th of March 2024, at Imperial College London.
As was made known in March, the lecture will be given by Professor Lidija Zdravkovic, of Imperial College London, where she has been an academic staff member since 1996 and Head of the Geotechnics division since 2014.
Furthermore, Professor Zdravkovic specializes in computational geomechanics, while the title of her lecture will be “Geotechnical engineering for a sustainable society”.
It is also outlined in BGA’s event that the lecture will consist of several parts that will focus on research on aging infrastructure’s sustainable life extension under climate change-induced weather conditions, research on offshore wind turbine foundation design and the environmental impacts of thermal and chemical perturbations on the ground.
