The 2020 Buchanan Lecturer is Professor Lidija Zdravkovic who is the Professor of Computational Geomechanics at Imperial College in London, UK. Professor Zdravkovic's lecture is entitled “Soil Characterization for Advanced Geotechnical Design: Parameter Derivation.” Also on the agenda is Professor Ed Idriss, who will be presenting his 2019 Terzaghi Lecture "Response of Soil Sites During Earthquakes, A 60-Year Perspective." Professor Idriss is Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at the University of California at Davis(UCD) and an independent consulting geotechnical engineer. Fugro will again be sponsoring the Buchanan Lecture. The lectures will take place virtually via Zoom, and will begin at 1:00 pm US Central Time on November 6, 2020.
