For the Fall 2020 semester, students of the CE 179 upper-level undergraduate course on "Geosystems Design" of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley, had the opportunity to select a project topic on geotechnical design. The educational objective behind this project, which is 25% of their class requirement, is to allow them to perform some independently research/study on a practical topic and have the opportunity to investigate a selected topic in much more detail than what would be normally covered in the course.
The Deliverables on this project are the following
· An online report;
· A 5-10 min video presentation of your project (and associated slides);
Feedback on these projects can be posted on each webpage in the form of comments and will include identified deficiencies in text that need to be addressed, requests for more detailed information, and additional information that the reviewers of the website wish to be added. The official review period will last about a week. The instructor will provide also comments as part of his own review. On the basis of the comments that the students receive they will need to finalize the webpage, powerpoint slides and video.
Students are graded for content completeness, organization and presentation.
