For the Fall 2020 semester, students of the CE 179 upper-level undergraduate course on "Geosystems Design" of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley, had the opportunity to select a project topic on geotechnical design. The educational objective behind this project, which is 25% of their class requirement, is to allow them to perform some independently research/study on a practical topic and have the opportunity to investigate a selected topic in much more detail than what would be normally covered in the course.
