AEC Slope 2009 covers the procedure for analyzing the stability of earth dam slopes for different conditions of loading to which the dam is expected to be subjected during its life time. It uses the Swedish method of analysis and assumes that the slip surface is an arc of a circle. It considers the total stress method of analysis on an AutoCAD platform. It does not consider pore water measurements. No shearing stresses act across the plane of the cross section and the analysis is treated as two dimensional.
