A landslide in northern Vietnam’s Sa Pa region sent a vehicle over the side of a mountain road during intense rain. The incident occurred on September 29 along a winding stretch in the Lao Chai commune, situated near the tourist routes descending from Sa Pa toward the Muong Hoa Valley.
Phan Dang Toan, chairman of Sa Pa Ward's People's Committee, confirmed the landslide and reported that the driver escaped safely.
Warnings have been issued by authorities for flash floods and landslides in multiple northern and north-central provinces of Vietnam due to storm Bualoi.
