A landslide occurred in the Yongsheng township of the Sichuan province in China, in the early morning hours of June 4.
A worker’s dormitory was hit in the event and resulted in 19 fatalities, all of which were workers of a local mining company.
According to the CCTV, more than 180 rescue workers were involved in a search and rescue operation that concluded on Sunday. It was also stated that an investigation is underway to determine the possible causes that led to the landslide.
The incident took place after a period of heavy rain in the area.
