GeoWorld, with the support of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), is excited to prepare the publication of the 2021 Geotechnical Business Directory, the 7th in the series of annual publications! The upcoming Geotechnical Business Directory is expected to list more than 22,000 geo-professionals, 1,000+ companies and organizations registered on the platform. It is expected to reach 50,000+ professionals through our channels and will be available online, as an e-book and in print in June 2021.
The online platform of the directory, which has increased functionality compared to the printed or e-book version, can be found here and allows visitors to search by geographic region, industry, or expertise!
To be part of it, simply visit GeoWorld, the professional networking platform for geotechnical engineers and create an account. In case you already have a Geoengineer.org account you can use it to sign in on GeoWorld and take advantage of its features! Also, consider sharing the news to invite students or colleagues to join, as there are truly unique networking opportunities and resources for young professionals.
Individuals are also encouraged until February 20th to submit photos related to geotechnical engineering that could be included in the 2021 directory. The requirements are that you have a public profile*, permission over your submitted photos so they can be used (online or in-print), and that they be at least 300 DPI. Furthermore, an acknowledgment is expected for each of the submitted photos with a short description of them, the name of the photographer and their affiliation. One of them may be selected as the cover of the directory, but a few of them will be used throughout the issue! All photos will be posted in the Geoengineer.org photo gallery and included in the next Geo-Trends Review Magazine!
For companies interested in being promoted through the directory, more information can be found in the online media kit.
* Public profiles are asked to provide their date of birth (which is only used for security purposes and is not publicly available), location, gender and industry.
