Stress Transform" is a software application for the calculation of the principal stress and stress transformation in 3D space. In addition, principal stress planes are represented on a semi-hemisphere of a stereographic projection making the software suitable for geotechnical applications.
It is possible to represent the plane of a joint (such as the joint of a rock discontinuity) on the stereographic projection and the calculation of normal and shear stress is allowed on the plane. Finally a failure criterion is considered (Mohr Coulomb) to calculate the limit shear strength of the joint.
