Collaboration between the Fabricated Geomembrane Institute (FGI) and the International Association of Geosynthetic Installers (IAGI) led to the development of new guidelines for the installation of factory fabricated lightweight (≤ 25mil or 0.64mm thickness) geomembranes.
The document consists of four parts. The first part includes a general approach on guideline scope, typical applications, references and submittals to the owner/engineer. The second part refers to the geomembrane materials, the required qualifications and the management of geomembranes on site. The third part refers to all the necessary instructions for installing the geomembranes and the final part refers to measurement and payment and their dependence on the projects’ specifications.
You can find the document here: Installation Guideline for Factory Fabricated Lightweight Geomembranes and also, in the Geosynthetics category of our Online Library.
