We are pleased to announce the special Issue #1 of Volume #5 of the International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories, an official Journal of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
This Special Issue presents recent case histories that exemplify the state of the practice when applying soil mechanics, analysing data and solving problems involving unsaturated soils. It includes written versions of contributions to the workshop titled ‘The State of Practice in Unsaturated Soil Mechanics’ held at the 19th ICSMGE, run under the auspices of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and TC106 the technical committee concerned with unsaturated soils within the ISSMGE.
Papers published in this refereed journal are freely available in color and are accompanied by databases that include the electronic data presented in the paper as well as additional figures (as necessary). The locations of the case histories are also positioned in the IJGCH Geographic Database.

About the journal and this announcement
The ISSMGE International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories is an official journal of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, focusing on the publication of well- documented case histories.
The truly open-source mission of the journal is funded annually by not more than four companies and organizations who have an action-based commitment to the advancement of the geoengineering profession. These organizations are acknowledged on our website and in every single paper of the journal. More information on our funding program can be found here. Send us an email if you are interested in being part of this unique publication.
IJGCH is proudly funded by Shamsher Prakash Foundation, Dar Group, Geosyntec Consultants and ConeTec. Our sponsors make possible the circulation of the journal to thousands of readers at no cost.
