Although an old limestone quarry in the Berkshires of Massachusetts was closed, it is still being used for a completely different purpose. It was converted to a luxurious swimming pool!
Sprayed concrete was used to make access to the pool easier and limestone was added to complete the structure, matching with the surrounded rock. This self-cleaning and heated pool reminds us the old quarry, with the vertical rock walls and the characteristic lines on them created during the excavation, combining past and present.
