A new platform has been launched, with the goal to organize software, codes and scripts used in Design, Construction and Operation of infrastructure and for protection of the environment and educate professionals on the computational tools that are available to them.
The platform name, DCOdes stands for Design, Construction and Operation of infrastructure and includes directories for commercial, and freeware software, community feedback on the software, news, and educational resources with the goal to promote adoption of the latest computational tools by the infrastructure community.
Individuals can sign up to “follow” and receive updates on specific software categories, or software products. The platform aims to capitalize on the computing growth in the infrastructure field that is occurring through the development of scripts by members of our community, next generation software, IoT, sensing and new data pipelines.
The platform already has more than 484 software and scripts in geotechnical engineering and more are expected to be added.
The platform is accessible here.
