I am heavyhearted at the news.

I had the opportunities to interact with Dick under different occasions and was deeply inspired by Dick’s charismatic personality. Our community lost a great hero that impacts the geotechnical profession with his vision, energy, kindness, and many other merits. Dick will be remembered.
