The program allows you to define plinths of any polygonal shape, on which pillars and poles freely definable in number and position stand. If no pile is defined, we have the case of a superficial plinth resting directly on the ground. The program also includes the definition of wells to contain the pillars, piles with cage reinforcement (long irons and spiral brackets) and tubfix micropiles with metal tube reinforcement.
The user can define the model in complete autonomy or automatically generate recurring typologies such as the triangular, rectangular or regular polygonal plinth, in the absence or presence of poles.
The definition of the soil stratigraphy is required with all the geotechnical information necessary for the structural modeling and the optional estimate of the bearing capacity of the piles or of the surface soil.
The actions acting on the plinth are represented by the six unloading components of each pillar (three forces and three couples), specified for single action (permanent, variable, seismic, etc.) or for combined actions defined by the user. The loads for single actions can be assigned by direct typing or read from an interface file produced by an external structural calculation program, such as Edisis which expressly provides for the output of the foundation drains for Ediplin.
Piles can vary in diameter, length and mechanical characteristics. The lift values can be assigned directly, if known from load tests, or estimated with static formulas based on the diameter, length and defined stratigraphy.
The program performs the analysis of the plinth and piles according to the selected regulatory system: at the limit states according to EuroCodes, Ntc18, Ntc08, Ntc96 or at the admissible tensions according to Ntc92/96. Solutions are obtained for each load condition and the envelope stresses are evaluated for all load combinations foreseen by the selected regulatory system.
The sizing of the reinforcements is carried out in compliance with the iron areas required by the checks and the assigned technological specifications. The carpentry of the plinth and pole reinforcements is then built, ready to print or export in Dxf with a detail from the executive drawing.
Like other Newsoft programs, Ediplin is full of functions useful for speeding up operations (data synchronization), obtaining information (attention messages, verification histograms, stress diagrams) or for carrying out particular operations such as modifying the bars. This last operation allows you to configure the reinforcement in the way you like best and is also useful for verifying existing structural elements.
For each modification made to the reinforcement, the verification histograms present in the view of the carpentry are immediately updated and any undersizing is clearly highlighted.
The printing phases are also very versatile and allow you to compose the printout, layout the drawings, view previews, print directly or export the documents to Rtf/Dxf/Pdf.
