The Spring City 66 was completed

Spring City 66 is a complex of two skyscrapers and a shopping center in Kunming, Yunnan, China. The skyscrapers are 349 metres (1,145.0 ft) and 250 metres (820.2 ft) tall. Construction started in 2013 and was completed in 2019.

Seoul Olympic Stadium broke ground

The Seoul Olympic Stadium, also known as Jamsil Olympic Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Seoul, South Korea. It is the main stadium built for the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 10th Asian Games in 1986. It is the centrepiece of the Seoul Sports Complex in the Songpa District, in the southeast of the city south of the Han River. It is the largest stadium in South Korea. Spectator seats are distributed on two tiers, half covered. Initially built with a capacity of approximately 100,000, today it seats 69,950.

First pulsar discovered

PSR B1919+21 is a pulsar with a period of 1.3373 seconds and a pulse width of 0.04 seconds. Discovered by Jocelyn Bell Burnell on 28 November 1967, it is the first discovered radio pulsar. The power and regularity of the signals were briefly thought to resemble an extraterrestrial beacon, leading the source to be nicknamed LGM, later LGM-1 (for "little green men").

1908
Marianna Coal Mine disaster

The Marianna Coal Mine disaster, in Marianna, Pennsylvania, killed 154 miners and left one survivor on November 28, 1908, in what was the worst disaster in Washington County history. The incident, and several others at the time, catalyzed public advocacy for mine safety, leading to the establishment of the US Bureau of Mines in 1910. USBM research on safer blasting material and the prevention of mine gas and dust explosions resulted in reduced occurrence of mine disasters.
