The Xi'an Glory International Financial Center was completed

The Xi'an Glory International Financial Center is a 75-story building located on Jinye Road in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. With a height of 350 meters (1,148 feet), it is the tallest building in Northwest China.

Hangzhou Metro opened

The Hangzhou Metro is a rapid transit system that serves Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, China. It is the 17th city in China to operate a rapid transit system. There are currently 12 lines in operation. The adjacent Shaoxing Metro connects the system at Guniangqiao station on Line 5, and the Hangzhou-Haining Intercity Rail connects to the system at Linpingnan Railway Station on Line 9.

President Bridge opened

The President Bridge is a truss bridge that crosses over the Volga river in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia, connecting the city of Ulyanovsk with the east side of the city Ulyanovsk. It is the second longest bridge in Russia, and one of the longest bridges in Europe, with a length of 5.825 kilometres (3.619 mi), and 12.98 kilometres (8.07 mi) including the connecting highway. It has 25 spans of 221 metres (725 ft) and weighs 4,000 tons. The bridge's capacity is over 40,000 vehicles per day.

Pulaski Skyway opened

The Pulaski Skyway is a four-lane bridge-causeway in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of New Jersey, carrying an expressway designated U.S. Route 1/9 (US 1/9) for most of its length. The structure has a total length of 3.502 miles (5.636 km). Its longest bridge spans 550 feet (168 m). Traveling between Newark and Jersey City, the roadway crosses the Passaic and Hackensack rivers, Kearny Point, the peninsula between them, and the New Jersey Meadowlands.
