Kochi Metro opened

The Kochi Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It was opened to the public within four years of starting construction, making it one of the fastest completed metro projects in India. The Kochi metro project is the first metro in the country which connects rail, road and water transport facilities.

Jiaxing-Shaoxing Sea Bridge was completed

The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Sea Bridge , sometimes shortened to Jiashao Bridge, is the world's longest and widest multi-pylon cable-stayed bridge. From end to end, it stretches 10.14 km (6.3 mi) across the Qiantang River estuary, at Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. The main bridge is 2,680 m (8,790 ft) long and 55.6 m (182 ft) wide and carries an expressway with eight traffic lanes. Jiashao is the second sea-crossing bridge built in the greater Hangzhou Bay area.

Forum 66 construction started

Forum 66 is a twin tower complex in Shenyang, Liaoning. The complex consists of two supertall skyscrapers; Tower 1 is 384 m (1,260 ft) with 76 floors and Tower 2 is 351 m (1,152 ft) with 68 floors. Tower 1 was completed in 2015 whilst the construction of Tower 2 has been suspended as of 2023.

CamarĂ¡ Dam

The CamarĂ¡ Dam was a dam located on the Mamanguape River in Paraiba, northeastern Brazil. It burst on June 17, 2004, flooding towns of Alagoa Grande and Mulungu. At least three people died by drowning.

Stade du 5 Juillet opened

Stade du 5 Juillet is an Olympic football and athletics stadium located in Algiers, Algeria. It is part of the Mohamed-Boudiaf Olympic complex and notably hosts the finals of the Algerian Cup and the international meetings of the Algerian football team as well as major athletics meetings. It has a capacity of 64,000 spectators but could accommodate up to 85,000 people before the seats were laid. Its name refers to the date of the proclamation of the independence of Algeria.
