Hosur Road inaugurated

Hosur Road is the part of National Highway 48, erstwhile NH44, which connects metropolis Bangalore and industrial City Hosur. It is a four to eight-lane access controlled highway. The road is part of the National Highway network.

555-metre (1,821 ft) 123-story supertall skyscraper Lotte World Tower is located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa, Seoul, South Korea. It is currently the tallest building in South Korea and the sixth tallest in the world.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport opened

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is the primary airport serving Chongqing, a municipality in Southwestern China. Located about 19 kilometres (12 mi) north of the urban centre of Chongqing, it was the second-busiest airport in Mainland China by passenger traffic in 2022. Jiangbei Airport was awarded the best airport in its size category by Airports Council International in 2017 and again in 2018. Jiangbei Airport has undergone multiple major expansions. The latest expansion involves a new terminal 3B and a fourth runway currently under construction as of 2023. The first, second, and third phases of the airport came into operation in January 1990, December 2004, and December 2010, respectively.

Ladoga Canal was completed

The Ladoga Canal is a historical water transport route, now situated in Leningrad Oblast, linking the Neva and the Svir River so as to bypass the stormy waters of Lake Ladoga which lies immediately to the northwest. It is about 117 kilometres (73 mi) long and comprises two distinct but overgrown canals, Old Ladoga Canal (built in 1719-1810, previously known as Peter the First Canal) and New Ladoga Canal (built in 1866-1883), running in parallel from Sviritsa on the Svir through Novaya Ladoga on the Volkhov to Shlisselburg on the Neva.
