It has been two years since GeoWorld introduced the Geotechnical Business Confidence Index (GBCI), which is intended to measure quarterly the short-term (1-year) and long-term (5-year) expectations for business conditions in geotechnical companies throughout the world. During this time, thousands of participants shared their view.
You can see the results for the fourth quarter of 2018 of the GBCI here!
GeoWorld analyzed anonymously the data and processed it spatially to get an assessment of what the industry is doing. For example, the 1yr-GBCI in the United States dropped this last quarter and seems to reach its lowest value since January 2017. Similarly, the 1yr-GBCI for India, that has been rising, seems to be dropping too. Is this a bad omen for what we will come in the future? Only time will tell…
Meanwhile, login to GeoWorld and fill in our 30-sec survey for Q1 2019 and generate more historical GBCI charts!
