At this Pile Dynamics' Webinar instrumentation of compression (both top-loading and bi-directional), tension, and lateral tests will be addressed. Routine, and upgraded, instrumentation installations will be presented as they relate to and accomplish static load testing objectives. Load-transfer determinations will be emphasized. More-direct conversion of measured strains to internal forces in the test foundation using the Incremental Rigidity (“IR”) method will be described.
