Offshore wind is growing worldwide and is bound to play a crucial role in the ongoing decarbonization of the economy. Around 80% of offshore wind foundations are monopiles, which are quickly getting larger to accommodate the ever-increasing capacity of new turbines. Skilled Geotechnical Engineers are required to model the soil-structure interaction of those foundations under constant innovation. PLAXIS 3D and PLAXIS MoDeTo offer a powerful combination for the geotechnical design of even the largest monopile foundations.
