A very good response to the call for papers was received with 177 papers from all over the world, quite a large number for a regional Unsat Conference. Papers are presently under reviewing. Distinguished Lecturers (Keynote, Plenary and Invited Lecturers) have been invited. They will provide insights into the more advanced achievements in the field and play an important role in the scientific outcome and interest of the Conference. The programme of the Conference comprises Plenary Sessions (in which the Keynote and the Plenary Lectures will be delivered) held everyday, followed by a series of three Parallel Sessions starting by the Invited Lectures. The Conference will be opened by the Distinguished European Lecture, to be selected by ISSMGE TC106 by the end of February. Two other Keynote Lectures will be delivered by Profs Majid Hassanizadeh (University of Utrecht, the Netherlands) and Weimin Ye (Tong-Ji University, China). Six Plenary Lectures will also be delivered. Distinguished Lectures also include nine Invited Lectures given at the beginning of the Parallel Sessions.
