For the first Coffee Corner of 2022, Bentley will take a closer look at the new Discontinuity element.

Rock mass is not a homogeneous material: the presence of faults, fractures, joints, and weakness planes influence the mechanical behavior, often more than the properties of the rock mass itself. With the new Discontinuity element in PLAXIS 2D you can now incorporate this.
