23rd European Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference

On behalf of the ISSMGE, the Spanish Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering has the pleasure of announcing the 23rd European Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference that will be held from Tuesday 2nd September to Friday 5th of September.

Each European National Society will be asked to select two representatives to attend the Conference. Ideally, they should be 35 years of age, or less, at the time of the meeting. Senior geotechnical engineers will deliver keynote lectures and will engage with the young engineer delegates during the technical sessions.There is no specific conference theme, any topic related to geotechnical engineering is appropriate.

The selected delegates will be asked to expand the accepted abstract into a paper in accordance with the format specifications that will be provided. The papers will be collected into a proceedings volume that will be made available to delegates before the start of the conference. Each delegate is expected to make an oral presentation of their work lasting about 10-15 minutes followed by 5-10 minutes of questions and discussion immediately after the presentation. The conference language is English.
