ICSE-10 will mark the tenth offering of the International Conference on Scour and Erosion. Conceived as a conference to bring researchers and practitioners from Geotechnical and Hydraulic Engineering together to tackle the complex challenges of scour and erosion, this conference has strived to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration between these two and other related disciplines. Topics on surface and subsurface erosion of soil and bedrock will be organized into tracks to emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to engineering, research, monitoring, mitigation, and risk assessment. Short courses will be designed to expand participant’s breadth of knowledge on the interdisciplinary aspects of scour and erosion.
The 10th International Conference on Scour and Erosion (ICSE-10) will be held in Arlington, Virginia, USA on October 17-20, 2021. It’s under the auspice of ISSMGE TC-213 committee on scour and erosion and is sponsored by the ASCE Geo-Institute. It is organized by the Geo-Institute's Geotechnics of Soil Erosion committee. The conference occurs biannually. The theme of the ICSE-10 is "Understanding Scour and Erosion Processes and Improving Countermeasure Design through Integration of Hydraulics and Geotechnics." The 3.5-day conference includes short courses, keynote presentations, technical sessions, panel discussion, and a field trip.
