In this talk, we will discuss designing retaining walls in PLAXIS, focusing on the challenges posed by the two very different methodologies, i.e., conventional stability-based approach used in design codes compared to the stress equilibrium-based approach in PLAXIS. This talk will explore the differences and provide guidance on translating the various requirements. We will also address the common issues in design, setting up the model, and analysis.
