Maccaferri live series #2: Flexible Facing Systems for Pinned Drapery and Soil Nailing Applications
Lecture Other Geotechnical Pioneers in the industry in rockfall protection systems and natural hazard mitigation, Maccaferri offers a wide range of systems to stabilize rock faces, soil slopes and snow masses, reducing risks to people, buildings, and critical infrastructure. Maccaferri’s wide variety of systems offer the highest level of performance in the industry.
Maccaferri’s product offerings include the SteelGrid and RockMesh simple and pinned drapery systems, High Energy Absorption (HEA) cable nets, Dynamic Rockfall Barriers, Hybrid Barriers and Attenuators, Debris Flow Barriers, Rockfall Embankments, and ERDOX Snow Avalanche Protection. Maccaferri’s design software suite includes the MacRO1 and MacRO2 software for simple and pinned draperies, and the Mac S-Design for surface strengthening in soil nailiems using high-strength steel wire mesh, and dynamic rockfall barriers and attenuators.
Part 2 will be presented by Mike Koutsourais and focus on Flexible Facing Systems for Pinned Drapery and Soil Nailing Applications. Mike Koutsourais, PE is the Geohazard Mitigations Business Unit Manager of North America for Maccaferri, Inc. Mike has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mike is a geotechnical engineer with over 34 years of experience and has authored and presented several technical papers at various industry conferences throughout his career. For the past six years, Mike has been an officer of the Association of Geohazard Professionals (AGHP) and Chairman of the ASTM Subcommittee for Geohazard Nettings.
