DownloadThe Rayfract® Seismic Refraction Tomography software allows reliable imaging of subsurface velocity structure. Our tomographic data interpretation is based on physically meaningful modeling of wave propagation with wave paths instead of conventional seismic rays. This increases the numerical robustness of the inversion, especially in low coverage situations.
An initial 1D gradient model is determined automatically directly from the refraction traveltime data by laterally averaging 1D velocity-depth profiles obtained with the DeltatV method (improved Herglotz-Wiechert method). This delivers reliable starting models even in case of velocity inversions. The initial model is then refined with 2D WET Wavepath Eikonal Traveltime inversion. Also the software allows interpretation of traveltimes with conventional Plus-Minus and Wavefront seismic refraction methods and using these layered refraction starting models for WET inversion. Also allows borehole receiver spread tomography. Add borehole receiver line to main refraction line for joint WET inversion.
