The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) was founded in 1984 with the ultimate goal of preventing catastrophic dam failures. Recognizing that a well-trained work force is essential to achieving this goal, ASDSO established its Dam Safety Scholarship Program in 1992.
During the 2007-2008 academic year, up to $10,000 will be awarded to selected outstanding undergraduates based on the following qualifying criteria:

The Association of State Dam Safety Officials is a national, not-for-profit organization made up of over 2,200 dam safety officials from federal, state and local governments, the private sector, and academia. The goal of ASDSO is to improve dam safety and state dam safety programs in the U.S.
