Have you ever wondered how would it be like attending a lecture by Prof. Karl Terzaghi? You can now listen to a 25 minutes recording of Prof. Terzaghi last lecture in Harvard!

The Engineering Geology lecture recording of Prof. Terzaghi was provided to Prof. Whittle (from MIT) in cassette tape form, during his visit in Japan in the early 2000s, by a Japanese colleague, who must have been a student of Prof. Terzaghi during his last year in Harvard. It was sent by Professor Andrew Whittle to Prof. Dimitrios Zekkos (Univ. of Michigan) in 2017 for free dissemination through Geoengineer.org. Prof. Eduardo Kausel (from MIT), and subsequently Geoengineer.org staff helped improve the quality of the recording.

Prof. Whittle has been trying to confirm the name of the Japanese colleague for some time now, to acknowledge appropriate credits for this unique recording, with no success so far.

In case you have any information related to the Japanese colleague who recorded this unique lecture please contact us at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
