The International Information Center for Geotechnical Engineers

Hayaward Baker, Inc. (HBI) worked on the construction of the Seaside Way Pedestrian Bridge in Long Beach, California. The bridge connects the Long Beach Convention Center and Long Beach Performing Arts Center. This project received ENR's 'Best of the Best 2018' award in the Landscape/Urban Development category.

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center sits on a 30-acre campus. The owner undertook a $130 million, multi-phase expansion project to increase capacity, including the addition of a new five-story patient tower. Hayward Baker was able to save two weeks on the unexpectedly fast-track deep foundation schedule by mobilizing a second drill rig to install drilled shafts.

Pile Dynamics is continuing its USA tour of State of Practice: Quality Control & Quality Assurance of Deep Foundations.

We are pleased to announce the Issue #2 of Volume #4 of the International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories, an official Journal of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).

This webinar provides a general overview of a non-destructive testing method using temperature measurements for drilled or bored deep foundation elements. This innovation in testing gives owners and designers a new tool for assessing the integrity of drilled shafts or continuous flight auger (CFA) piles using the heat generated by the curing cement.
