Perpetual landslide in Summerland, Canada

A hillside is eroding and has been moving for almost a century in Summerland, Canada.

The Old Fort landslide, a mass movement that caused the evacuation of about 50 residences, was caused by a bedrock failure.

A landslide, occurred in northeastern British Columbia on August 2018, still continues to move.

The Dyck Memorial Bridge, constructed in the Rural Municipality of Clayton approximately 300km east of Saskatoon, collapsed just six hours after its opening.

The international team of scientists just finished exploring the seabed of the Pacific Ocean, offshore Alaska and British Columbia, in an effort to understand better the Queen Charlotte-Fairweather fault system.

Montreal's Champlain Bridge is one of North America's busiest spans, with 50 million vehicles crossing it each year. Increased traffic on the bridge, along with damage caused by road salt and other factors have caused considerable wear and tear to the structure, leading the Government of Canada to the decision to construct a new Champlain Bridge, starting 2015.

On Wednesday June 8th, a large sinkhole opened in the middle of Rideau Street in downtown Ottawa, Canada. The hole expanded and consumed three lanes of the road as well as the sidewalk and a parked minivan. Nobody was injured but many businesses in the area have been affected. Due to the ongoing construction of a new transit line under it, the street was open only to busses, taxis, and pedestrians which greatly decreased the amount of traffic on the street.
