Free, general-purpose desktop GIS application for viewing geospatial data and sophisticated multiple-layer map projects, supporting a great number of data formats, coordinate systems, and other features.
Download DocumentationA general-purpose desktop GIS viewer of geospatial data and map projects, natively supporting a great number of vector, image, and grid formats, WMS, WFS, and WMTS services, and web tiles. Comprehensive visual layer properties and legend controls provide the means to deeply customize the appearance of each layer to create sophisticated multi-layer map projects. Advanced support for coordinate systems includes 5,000+ predefined coordinate systems and on-the-fly map layer reprojection. A dedicated attribute data grid panel includes SQL and spatial query tools that interact with the map.
The Viewer can be used to share interactive digital maps and geospatial data with other users. Map projects created with the Viewer are fully compatible with other TatukGIS products and custom software applications developed from the TatukGIS Developer Kernel, and vice versa.
Other features include layer grouping and sublayers, unlimited line style possibilities, advanced labeling, SVG map symbols library, charts, buffers, filters scale-based rendering, color ramps, binning and dynamic shape aggregation, mini-map window, measurement tools, printing to PDF, etc. Built into the layer properties control are some relatively advanced features including layer statistics, data classification methods, and choropleth map creation.
The free Viewer is a slimmed down version of the TatukGIS Editor product, with certain omitted features. See the Editor/Viewer features comparison for details.
