Fine now provides Educational licenses for GEO5 to schools, universities and other academic institutions at a favorable price. Also, the second part of GEO5 Engineering Manual has been just released. Its objective is to explain the practical use of programs for the analysis of pile foundations in GEO5.
GEO5 Software is supported by Engineering manuals - training materials which explain how a particular engineering problem can be solved in GEO5 software. Engineering manuals are provided for free. In addition, free maintenance (future upgrades and new programs) of software is provided under condition that reference to Fine website from university web pages is provided. Over the past several years, we have developed relationships with over 100 universities worldwide providing professors, and their students, access to the GEO5 software as teaching tools.
These are some of them:

The second part of GEO5 Engineering Manual has also just been released. As mentioned above, its objective is to explain the practical use of programs for the analysis of pile foundations in GEO5. GEO5 software contains three pile foundation analysis programs – Piles, Pile CPT and Pile Group. The Engineering manuals contains closer explanation of which of the programs is to be used under particular conditions. The great advantage of GEO5 software is the possibility to try more variants and analysis methods, find the most likely behaviour of the pile foundation and subsequently determine the total bearing capacity or settlement of a single pile or a pile group.
Engineering Manuals can downloaded for free here.
