Rocscience is pleased to announce a training course in Sydney, Australia, on using the company's RS3 3D finite element program to model tunnels and underground excavations. This two-day training workshop, featuring world-class specialists, is designed for all experience levels.
Using RS3, a software for stress and deformation analysis, participants will analyze the stress and deformation behaviour of tunnels under various conditions.
The training will apply RS3’s tools to underground excavation analysis, including sequential excavation and support installation. It will focus on pragmatic approaches for everyday tunnel engineering.
The course will use a mix of presentations and “hands-on” tutorials (with practical examples) to demonstrate how RS3 can apply to underground design. It will discuss selecting appropriate material constitutive models, including the influence of pore pressures, stabilizing excavations with support and other measures, and interpreting results.
This hands-on training course will allow participants to achieve the following:
