GEOSNet Awards
Categories and Award Criteria

GEOSNet Distinguished Award(杰出成就奖). Recognizes an individual who over his or her career, has contributed substantially to the geotechnical risk and reliability community in research, education and/or leadership.

GEOSNet Award(突出贡献奖). Recognizes an individual who has made impactful contributions to geotechnical reliability, which led to improvements in geotechnical engineering practice or theoretical advances.

GEOSNet Young Researcher Award(青年学者奖). Recognizes an individual (40 years old or below at the Opening Ceremony of the ISGSR) who has published an impactful series of research papers that advanced geotechnical risk and reliability as a distinctive discipline.
Exclusions:An individual is eligible for the GEOSNet Distinguished Award only once.
Frequency of Awards
Once every ISGSR conference, which is normally every two years. These awards are typically presented at the ISGSR closing ceremony or conference dinner.
Nomination and Selection Procedure
The Selection Committee will be the GEOSNet Executive Board. Nomination is open to all, not limited to GEOSNet members.
Nominations for these awards should include a one-page nomination letter summarizing the relevant contributions of the nominee relating to the particular award under consideration. In the case of the GEOSNet and GEOSNet Young Researcher Awards, this should be accompanied by a resume limited to 5 pages which includes the candidate's top 5 papers. There is no limit to the resume length included for GEOSNet Distinguished Award candidates.

c. GEOSNet Young Researcher Award: 3 (per the minutes at 14 October 2015)
