The III International Research and Practical Conference on "Geotechnical Engineering in Cold Regions. The Basis of Infrastructure Safety in Global Changes" will be held on 10-12 February, 2027 in Moscow, Russia. The conference is organized by Gersevanov Research Institute of Bases and Underground Structures (NIIOSP) JSC Research Center of Construction in collaboration with the Russian Society for Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics & Foundation Engineering (RSSMGFE) and ISSMGE.
In the age of global changes, ensuring the mechanical safety of buildings and structures founded in frozen soils requires a comprehensive approach combining the use of innovative materials and technologies, the adaptation of design solutions, and the development of modern monitoring and control systems. A timely response to ongoing changes is essential for the safe operation of infrastructure throughout all stages of its life cycle.
The goal of the conference is to provide a platform for collaboration between academic and industrial sciences in order to jointly address the challenge of ensuring infrastructure safety as a crucial aspect for the sustainable development of cold regions.
The program features keynote lectures, themed technical sessions, an industry exhibition and special Gala Dinner.
