Reinforcement and drainage in soil structures - Barcelona Technical Workshop

Join expert speakers in Barcelona for a technical workshop on Reinforcement and drainage in soil structures  this June.

Co-hosted by the ISSMGE TC218 (Reinforcement fill structures committee) and the IGS (International Geosynthetics Society) Technical Committees for Soil Reinforcement (TC-R) and Hydraulic Applications (TC-H), the agenda covers:

• Main features of geosynthetic materials including new developments
• Design guidelines and methods; analytical and numerical approaches, advances, improvements, new criteria, updated perspectives, limitations
• Marginal and recycled fills; design and construction aspects
• Case histories sharing latest and special projects; bridge abutments, construction issues, maintenance, monitoring, repairs/rehabilitation
• Climate impact and sustainability; deconstruction and resilience

The workshop takes place on June 25-27 at the UPC Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, known as BarcelonaTech. Tickets will be 200 for IGS and ISSMGE members and 250 for non-members.
