Discover the capabilities of model tunnelling in rock with PLAXIS. With several models available for different types of rock, including intact, fractured, stratified, and swelling rock, you can design and reinforce underground excavations with ease. Use the Tunnel Designer to create the tunnel cross-section, add reinforcement such as rock bolts or cables, and specify the construction trajectory.
Register to Modelling Rock and Tunnels in PLAXIS Workshop
This workshop on Rock and Tunnels is an additional special topic day to the Advanced Course on Computational Geotechnics. It can also be attended as a standalone workshop. The workshop focuses on modelling and calculating tunnels in rock using the NATM method. Initially, the workshop concentrates on modelling the rock itself, including intact, fractured, stratified, and even swelling rock. Afterward, the focus shifts to modelling the tunnel construction, including excavation stages, reinforcement, and tunnel lining.
