Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are widely used to monitor deformation and slope stability in harsh environments. By integrating GNSS data alongside other in-situ sensors, such as inclinometers, ShapeArrayTM, and piezometers, stakeholders can leverage a comprehensive cross-analysis to ultimately make better-informed decisions. How can you easily integrate all that data into a smart deformation monitoring strategy?
Join GroundProbe's Antonio Rocha and NavStar's Robbie Praeg for a live webinar that explores the why and how of using high-precision GNSS devices to monitor slope stability in mining and civil engineering applications. They'll show what GNSS data looks like in a total sensor data integration with all-in-one management, visualization, and analysis inside the GeoExplorer software platform.
In this webinar, you'll learn the how to integrate slope stability and deformation data collection when using GNSS with other commonly used sensors. You'll see how GeoExplorer powerful features make vital functions straightforward—users can drag-and-drop data sets from different sensors to perform easy cross-analysis, set alarm thresholds for any sensor in the system, and generate reports from user-defined templates.
An overview of GNSS monitoring devices
An understanding of the benefits and considerations of using GNSS in remote and harsh environments
Real-world examples of monitoring applications using GNSS data

Antonio Rocha Antonio has over 26 years of experience working in mining and business roles within global technology and mining companies. Joining GroundProbe in 2013, he currently works as Business Manager North America at GroundProbe, identifying and developing business from customers in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, with a focus on new high-valued mining and civil monitoring products and services. Between 2010 and 2013 he has worked as Long Term Mine Planning Engineer at Vale, and between 1998 and 2010 as Maptek Brazil’s General Manager. |
Robbie Praeg Robbie has nearly nine years of experience of geotechnical instrumentation with the Geosolutions product brand category, part of Orica Digital Solutions. His current role as Commercial Product Specialist focuses on the NavStar suite of GNSS products and the GeoExplorer software platform. His dual-expertise from both a commercial and support perspective helps identify new opportunities and serves clients worldwide. With a background in Civil Engineering, Robbie is working to complete a graduate degree in this field. His research thesis is focused on the use of ShapeArray to investigate soil-structure interactions in buried structures. |
