Michael Cowell, P.E., is a former geotechnical consultant with Law Engineering and Golder Associates, General Manager at Tensar Corporation, and VP at The Reinforced Earth Company prior to founding GeoStructures, Inc. in 1995. He has an MS in Geotechnical Engineering from Cornell University and BSCE from Clarkson University. For the last 27 years his company has provided Ground Improvement Design-Build services to Owners, Contractors, and Engineers in the Eastern USA and has been fortunate to have worked on over 1000 ground improvement projects including the 11th Street Bridge Project in DC, Pittsburgh Penguin Arena, John Paul Jones Arena at UVA, Capital One Building in Tyson’s Corner and numerous buildings, parking garages, data centers and warehouses throughout the region.
