2nd International Conference on Natural Hazards & Infrastructure

We are delighted to invited you to the 2nd International Conference on Natural Hazards and Infrastructure (ICONHIC2019), organized under the auspices of the National Technical University of AThens (NTUA) and ETH, Zurich.

Building upon the success of the first event in 2016, ICONHIC2019 aims to take the extra mile towards Infrastructure Resilience. Enhancing infrastructure resilience within a limited resources environment, requires immediate interaction among stakeholders, debate upon conventional or revolutionary ideas and questioning of existing practices. By bringing on the same floor engineers from the academia and the industry, financers, policymakers and innovators, to exchange experience and jointly discuss new ideas, ICONHIC2019 aims to set a robust and viable trace towards the protection of our civil infrastructure systems from natural hazards.

Top-notch keynote and invited lectures, challenging panel discussions, dedicated workshops, oral sessions and a technical exhibition will be part of the international 3-day event. ICONHIC2019 envisions to set the stage for an on-going dialogue, through a pre-conference forum on the conference website, direct contact between recent research findings and the industry through an on-site Innovation Hub, indexed conference proceedings and open publications from workshops and special sessions.

Contributions on topics related to the field of natural hazards and infrastructure are encouraged in the scope of ICONHIC2019, including hazard prediction and risk management, remote sensing for natural disasters, climate change and flooding impact on infrastructure systems, earthquake engineering, landslides prevention and mitigation and many more.
