channel scour resistance.
North American Green’s Erosion Control Materials Design Software (ECMDS®) Version 4.3 is
the ultimate tool for designing with rolled erosion control products for NPDES compliance.
ECMDS is a necessity for every engineer, designer, or contractor who must comply with
today's strict erosion and sediment control regulations.ECMDS incorporates design values for
all North American Green RECPs, vegetation and various sizes of rock riprap. ECMDS® can be
accessed as an online application through a standard browser at www.nagreen.com ,
available as a download from their website or on CD-ROM.Recommendations within ECMDS
are based on data from laboratory and field research involving erosion control blankets, turf
reinforcement mats, vegetation, TRM reinforced vegetation, and riprap. ECMDS utilizes the
most advanced design procedures developed by the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to provide performance guaranteed
recommendations for all North American Green products.
