Swedge is an easy to use analysis tool for evaluating the geometry and stability of surface
wedges defined by two intersecting discontinuity planes and a slope surface. Swedge's
integrated graphical environment allows for fast, easy data entry and 3D model visualization.
Swedge's editing tools provide a convenient method for performing parametric studies. With
Swedge you can quickly create a model, calculate the safety factor or probability of failure,
add reinforcement and interpret the results. Analysis may be either deterministic (safety
factor) or probabilistic (probability of failure) and the effect of rock bolt support on wedge
stability can be quickly evaluated.
