PDensity - A complete data management system that streamlines the field data collection and reporting of
field density tests data from work orders through Proctors, specifications and testing.
The PDensity PC application allows office personnel to configure project information including Proctor and
Specification data, and create work orders for field personnel so they have the most complete and up-to-date
data for assigned projects. Creating work orders allows managers to specify Proctor and specification
requirements that are downloaded to the PDA for specific projects. The user then performs field density tests
and records the results in the PDA.
The PDensity handheld application facilitates recording field density test data using customized, form-based
software. It consists of smart forms that aid the field technician in logging data and performing calculations for
nuclear, sand cone drive cylinder and balloon density testing methods. Within the software, text input is
minimized using buttons, lists and checkboxes that provide a standardized set of choices for the user to select.
