Singapore: IQPC, the global leader in conferences, has announced the launch of Tunnel Design & Construction Northeast Asia, a two-day conference to bring the industry experts and best practices in the regional tunnelling industry onto a common platform.

Addressing the challenges in design, construction and safety issues in longer and deeper tunnels will be the prime focus of the tunnel case studies which will be presented, said Ms. Sherene Asnasyous, Divisional Director – Construction IQ, a division of IQPC.

The conference, in its earlier version held in Singapore in June this year, received accolades for its comprehensive coverage of the tunnelling industry and the quality of the experts who presented and attended.

“The event extensively covered the latest trends in underground construction, highlighting issues of problems faced in this field across the world”, said Mr. R K Dayal, Additional General Manager, RITES, a Government of India enterprise, which is construction Himalayan Mountain Rail Tunnels.

Norzani Mahmood, Chief Assistant Engineer, KETHA Malaysia said, “This conference is a good platform to gather info and learn lessons from tunnel players around the region.”
