Geopier is installing the Armorpact® system in Milwaukee

Geopier is installing the Armorpact® system to provide foundation support with an increased bearing capacity while reducing total and differential settlement.

Construction continues at the 4-story Seven04 Place Apartments project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Geopier is installing the Armorpact® system to provide foundation support with an increased bearing capacity while reducing total and differential settlement. The Geopier Armorpact system is being installed to reinforce the existing urban fill and very soft organic clay / peat to support column loads of up to 80 kips and wall loads of up to 8 kips per lineal foot.

The Armorpact system creates strong and stiff Rammed Aggregate Pier® elements in weak soils and provides superior levels of performance for foundation settlement control and support at challenging sites.

The Geopier Impact® system is also being installed to provide floor slab support of the lightly loaded floor slabs. The use of the Geopier systems eliminated the need for costly deep foundations and structural slab.
